A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
Warm Ups: The story behind the product.
The idea for 'Warm Ups' actually began back in 2014...
when we released a product called (wait for it...) Keto Shakes! đ Back then it was much harder
to make a clean product because there wasn't a large demand from ingredient manufacturers to make
legitimate low carb ingredients. So although our original Keto Shakes were high fat and low
net carb, they still contained some ingredients we didn't love (like maltodextrine). In 2016, we
decided to stop selling them and focus on making new Keto Bar flavors. As you might or might not
know, we're a small team of 5 and we make all of our keto products in-house. So, manufacturing
more than one product at a time isn't as easy for us as it is for other companies that use
co-manufacturers.
Fast forward to earlier this year.
While doing some research on new ingredients available to us, we realized that our original
vision of Keto Shakes could be accomplished in a much cleaner way than back in 2014. We were also
surprised that despite the keto category growing a ton over the years, there was still no keto
powdered drink mix that:
1. Was made to be a warm drink.
2. Was legitimately high fat and low net carb.
3. Tasted as good or better than what you could buy at a cafe.
Long story short:
We wanted something that all you had to do was add hot water and the product was ready to go. They're actually high in fat, which makes them very creamy and fulfilling. They're also delicious.
One last thought.
You will notice that if they sit, some of the cocoa powder or spices (depending on the flavor)
will eventually separate. This is because you have two choices when flavoring powders. You can use
flavorings (natural or artificial) or you can use real ingredients. The pro of using a flavoring
is that they're inexpensive and when mixed, they don't separate. On the other hand, when using
real ingredients the product is so much higher quality, natural, and clean, but will eventually
separate. Of course, we chose to use real ingredients.
